What we do

Biotechnology

NUOL GREENCHEMISTRY’s vocation is innovation in its processes and products. Through biotechnology, we develop new renewable products to replace petrochemical in various sectors.

Our technologies are focused on distillation, fractionation, esterification, transesterification, low-pressure hydrogenation, epoxidation, epoxy ring opening reaction, dimerization, bulk polymerization, enzyme technologies.

In an innovative technique, we apply the biohydrolysis process in our product development, which offers numerous advantages for the environment and more competitive costs:

Gentle Processing,
No Pressure Required:

Operates at low temperatures without the need for high pressure.

Zero Waste
Production

Generates no waste during the process, ensuring sustainability and efficiency.

Natural Color
Preservation

Biocatalysts effectively bleach fatty acids, minimizing color alteration without distillation.

Efficient Glycerin
Retrieval

Allows for the recovery of glycerin, maximizing resource utilization.

Selective
hydrolysis

It separates the by-products in a phased manner, without needing to distill afterwards.

Solvent-Free
Operation

Eliminates the use of methanol or any other solvents, ensuring a cleaner and greener process.

Sustainability

Our portfolio of renewable raw materials is produced from vegetable oils, renewable alcohols and renewable acetone. Our senior management team has more than 3 decades of experience in renewable market and we have exclusive patents to produce renewable raw materials to replace petrochemicals.

The tracking of our raw materials is the key part of our process. Palm oil and palm kernel oil is acquired from producers whose originations is located in the Amazon Forest (State of Roraima, Brazil), generating jobs and income for needy communities. It´s cultivation is managed by an Agroforestry System including cocoa, cupuaçu, tucumã e mamona (castor plant)
